On June 4, 2025, as part of the Vietnam Provincial Roadshow 2025 in Prague, Czech Republic, a delegation from the Vietnamese provinces of Phu Yen, Bac Lieu, Thua Thien Hue, and Vinh Long held a working session with the Embassy of Vietnam in the Czech Republic, as well as representatives of the Vietnamese business community and associations in Europe.

The event is part of a series of activities to implement high-level commitments within the framework of the Vietnam–Czech Strategic Partnership, following Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s official visit to the Czech Republic. It marks a practical step toward deepening and concretizing bilateral relations.
Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Duong Hoai Nam emphasized that 2025 is a pivotal year for advancing the Vietnam–Czech partnership. He highlighted the essential role of local diplomacy and the overseas Vietnamese community as key drivers in expanding and strengthening cooperation between the two countries.
The Vietnamese provincial delegates expressed their desire for the Embassy to serve as an information bridge and facilitator for partnership building, particularly with Czech localities. Notably, they had a productive engagement with the Mayor of Karlovy Vary, a city seen as having strong cooperation potential. Promising areas of collaboration include tourism, waste treatment, renewable energy, and education.
A key highlight of the session was the interaction with the Vietnamese business community in Europe, who expressed a strong commitment to investment connectivity and market sharing between Vietnam and the Czech Republic. The overseas entrepreneurs also called for more favorable conditions for investing in Vietnam, and showed readiness to introduce Czech partners and expand collaboration opportunities—contributing to market diversification and enhancing the global integration capacity of Vietnamese enterprises.
The roundtable also underlined the investment potential from the overseas Vietnamese community, while recognizing the need to improve administrative procedures, transparency of information, and incentive mechanisms. Acting as a two-way bridge, the overseas Vietnamese are reaffirmed as a strategic resource for local development and for realizing the strategic partnership between Vietnam and the Czech Republic.
