Vietnam International Sourcing 2025 (VIS 2025) is a large-scale international trade promotion event hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT). The event will take place from September 4–6, 2025, in Ho Chi Minh City. VIS 2025 is expected to attract over 300 international buyers from 60 countries, creating new export cooperation opportunities for Vietnamese businesses. Domestic enterprises are encouraged to participate to connect directly with global distribution and retail systems and to expand their international market share.
MoIT and Vietnamese Trade Offices Connect with International Buyers
The Ministry of Industry and Trade (Foreign Market Development Department) is the leading organizer of VIS 2025. It is actively supported by more than 60 Vietnamese Trade Offices across all continents. These Trade Offices are playing a pivotal role in seeking, inviting, and vetting international buyers who are genuinely interested in Vietnamese goods. Considered the "extended arms" of the MoIT, this network helps connect domestic producers with the global distribution chain. They have successfully brought thousands of international buying partners to Vietnam, which has helped boost the success rate of transactions compared to typical trade fairs.
Event Goals and Key Sectors for 2025
VIS 2025 aims to help Vietnamese businesses expand their export markets by facilitating direct B2B connections with international partners, thereby helping them find potential buyers worldwide. Unlike traditional trade fairs, VIS 2025 uses a modern "sourcing" model. This model focuses on the specific purchasing needs of importers rather than simply displaying products. This approach allows for selective, pre-scheduled B2B meetings, enabling Vietnamese businesses to directly connect with major supermarkets, retailers, and distributors from key markets like the United States, the EU, South Korea, the Middle East, and ASEAN.
This year's event will feature over 500 booths from approximately 400 Vietnamese businesses, showcasing about 12,000 exemplary export products. The core sectors participating in VIS 2025 include:
Textiles and Garments: Apparel and fashion products
Footwear and Leather: Shoes and leather accessories
Food and Beverages: Agricultural products, processed foods, and drinks
Wood and Furniture: Wooden products and interior decorations
Supporting Industries: Components, raw materials, packaging, etc.
Logistics: Supply chain services
These sectors are expected to attract significant interest from international buyers at VIS 2025.
